Norwegian to English translations [PRO] Poetry & Literature
Norwegian term or phrase:Song text
Hi, I'm translating a cartoon for dubbing in Dutch, which is originally in Norwegian. I received an English script, but there is a part missing from a song. I put the missing part on youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xy_COIzH-s4
It's a song about a ghost ship, Urred, and a No-Bottom Cave. It's the last verse of the song. I'd appreciate any help with translating this part in English so that I can translate it in Dutch!
It seems to me that this is not about a ghost ship, but a ghost boat (Norwegian: spøkelsesbåt). Perhaps a sailboat. A ship is a large boat. If the ghost boat is not large, it can not be called a ghost ship.
Sorry if my question was not clear, I'm asking for the English translation of the song that the house is singing. This clip is the last verse of the song, which is missing from the script that I was given. So yes, please, the whole clip!
