Explanation:
I have seen this phrase used in several modern tourist guides, including the Ryanair in-flight magazine, which is aimed at young travellers. It has the advantage of being suitable for both local attractions such as good restaurants, trendy bars or art galleries and bigger things such as national parks or even towns. I agree that "tourist hot spots" is suitable for a city, like Barcelona, for example, but not really for a specific museum, castle, nightclub etc. I think that the heading "Don't Miss..." is the answer to your problem as it can be used for practically anything.
