Żeby nie było tak łatwo, to mam tu jeszcze cofki wiatrowe, tłumaczone jako wind backwater currents.

Stany wód w rejonie dolnej Odry znajdują się pod silnym wpływem wahań poziomu morza, które ze względu na niskie spadki rzeki powodujązmianę poziomu zwierciadła wody oraz zmianę kierunku przepływu wód na odmorski.

A "wahania poziomu morza" mogą być spowodowane pływami (morskimi) lub wiatrem (nie znam innych przyczyn - są?). Skoro cofka wiatrowa jest "potraktowana" oddzielnie, to cofka odmorska musi być cofką pływową.

In coastal rivers, the water level is greatly affected by the upstream movement of a tidal wave. The latter creates higher flood stages that enlarge the flood plain areas and increase potential damages. In such rivers, the water level is not solely a function of the flow discharge but rather a joint function of both the discharge and tidal phenomena. The interference of the tidal backwater with the normal flow of the river causes a disruption in the normal stage-discharge relationship. This paper attempts at formulating a linear relation between tidal water level and river flow discharge that can be used for the predictions of water level in coastal rivers and estuaries.

Asker: W tłumaczonej pracy piszą, że Bałtyk jest morzem bezpływowym. Ale z tego co wyguglałam, to na południu są kilkumetrowe pływy, a na północy znacznie wieksze.

Asker: Oczywiście miało być: kilkucentymetrowe
