For the record. Różnie to bywa.

Ja też na ogół tłumaczę "District Court for Kraków-Śródmieście in Kraków", żeby mniej więcej oddać sens.

Ale już np. w dokumentach dla UE się w ogóle nie tłumaczy (tak mam w podręczniku stylu od biura tłumaczeń, dla którego realizuję projekt unijny; można zresztą sprawdzić w Eur-Lex: http://eur-lex.europa.eu/Notice.do?mode=dbl&lang=pl&lng1=pl,...

Podobnie jeden z moich klientów bezpośrednich (kancelaria prawna) każe zostawiać nazwy sądów w oryginale, ewentualnie tłumaczenie w nawiasie.

Ma to swoje uzasadnianie, bo ze względu an różnice w civil law i common law, sądy mają różne kompetencje w różnych krajach i tłumaczenia mogą być mylące (podobnie jak np. tłumaczenia form spółek).
