Przedstawienie zarzutów
Przedstawienie zarzutów otwiera postępowanie przeciwko określonej osobie, która staje się podejrzanym. Aby było możliwe przedstawienie zarzutów, musi istnieć dostateczne podejrzenie, że czyn popełniła określona osoba. W śledztwie sporządza się postanowienie o przedstawieniu zarzutów. Należy je ogłosić podejrzanemu i przesłuchać go (chyba że podejrzany ukrywa się lub przebywa za granicą).
W dochodzeniu nie jest konieczne wydanie osobnego postanowienia o przedstawieniu zarzutów (chyba że podejrzany jest tymczasowo aresztowany) .Wystarczy przesłuchanie osoby podejrzanej z powiadomieniem jej o treści zarzutu wpisanego do protokołu przesłuchania. Od chwili rozpoczęcia przesłuchania osobę tę uważa się za podejrzanego.
