Reference ranges for blood tests are 32 to 36 g/dl,[1] or between 4.9 to 5.5[2] mmol/L. It is thus a mass or molar concentration. Still, many instances measure MCHC in percentage (%), as if it was a mass fraction (mHb / mRBC)

disagree  Piotr Sawiec: absolutnie nie; odnosi się to do jednego z rodzajów białych krwinek, czyli niegranulocytów i nielimfocytów, nawet procent się dopełnia (100%-42%-45%=13%), większość to monocyty; często rozmaz komputerowy podaje MXD (mixed)
