if one has this bad luck in life and plenty of worries... he can break his arm Explanation: in Polish "reka" refers often to both hand and arm. This is a strange quote from a business profile. I am not sure what to make of it other than provide you with a literal translation... |

When you ain't got no luck, but plenty of gripe, you can break your hand during a tushy wipe Explanation: This should definitely not be in a business profile. Obviously, a crass joke. But I did my best to convey the tone (colloquial, street-smart, crass), the rhythm and the rhyme. The missing part (-cierajac dupe)is a vulagarity. My translation is a little gentler. Stronger version: When life is a bitch, and all people crass, you can break your hand while wiping your ass. |
