It seems that the English term would be "hex union" (which you can have a look at here: http://www.proedesigns.com/download/models/fittings/hydrauli... or here: http://airhosereels.com/union.html). There are also hex nipples (http://airhosereels.com/pipenipples.html) but as far as I understan nipples have the thread on the inside, and unions on the outside.
