Explanation:
In den EU-Richtlinien wird "séquestrant" durchweg als Bindemittel übersetzt, LEO-Dictionary gibt als Übersetzung des englischen "sequestrant" Dispergiermittel an, bei Unilever (die ja wohl auch Waschmittel herstellen) heißt es jedoch Komplexbildner:
"Sequestrant - Komplexbildner: ... binden freie Metallionen, so dass sie nicht negativ auf z.B. das Aussehen des Produktes, die Stabilität oder die Produktleistung auswirken können"

Das Umweltlexikon bestätigt dies - s. Link.
Dort steht ja dann auch, dass sie u.a. als Wasserenthärter, z.B. in Wasch- und Reinigungsmitteln eingesetzt werden.

Analog zur polnischen Definition:
"Sekwestrant - substancja, która absorbuje jony i zapobiega zmianom smaku, konsystencji i barwy żywności; stosowana również jako środek zmiękczający wodę." (s. 2. Link)
