Portuguese to English translations [PRO] Tech/Engineering - Agriculture / Agriculture | | Portuguese term or phrase: entressafra | This term literally means "between cropping seasons". I wonder if you know a single term that expresses this idea in English. I will gladly consider your opinion as to whether this solution (i.e., "between cropping, or growing seasons") is acceptable as a valid answer.
TIA for your help. |
| | | between harvests (or "off season") | Explanation: Safra to me means primarily cutting sugar can. Other crops might have another word. By extension it can mean "harvest" but it is not growing season.
"Cropping seasons" sounds awkward to my ears.
Is the idea possibly the "off season," i.e., by contrast with the busiest time of the year? |
