scarab larvae, scarab grubs
Explanation:
The terms "bicho bolo", "coró", and "pão-de-galinha" apply to ANY beetle larva of the huge family Scarabaeidae (60,000+ species described). You can refer to them using the general terms "scarab larvae" (plural: the singular is larva) or "scarab grubs". This is from my own experience, after having taught college Entomology courses for over 18 years.

potato beetle (Dyscinetus planatus)

Explanation:
The scientific name is correct. It's a beetle that infests potato crops. I couldn't find the correct name in English, but a synonym is "bicho bolo".

disagree  Henrique Serra: I have to disagree here. These are typically known in the agricultural industry as ANY grubs of the family Scarabaeidae. The subfamily Dynastinae is but one of many families in that huge Scarabaeidae family. You cannot be very specific here.
