Mother God: Alfama Explanation: Bad luck! It was love I didn't keep, Maybe a distraction... Something I found Note: Alfama is one of Lisbon's old quarters a remnant of the Arab life in the city, before the Christian conquest. Another is Mouraria, which the name itself invokes it's ethnicity; Moors. Regards. Luis Luis |

Madredeus song lines: Alfama Explanation: Bad luck it was love that I never kept Maybe I got distracted... Something that I found. I am not a poet, so I don't claim this to be a nice literary translation. But it gives you the general meaning, for you to polish a bit. Again, Madredeus other than the name of the band is also the name of a neighborhood. The same goes for Alfama. |

with reservations: Explanation: Bad luck, it was love I didn't hold on to, guess I got distracted ... —Something I came across. Too many "I"s, and a complete mismatch with what I offered for the other bit of "Alfama". |
