Explanation:
Depending on the context, I would just say investment. It's obvious that if money is INVESTED there is a return in the form of interest. Financial is there in Portuguese to show that interest is involved.

Unless the non-profit is getting interest on its own investments, in which case, it is investment, as I said above.
