Nominal Interest Rate & Gross Interest Rate Explanation: This is just a guess. I have never heard of "net nominal rate" or "gross nominal rate". I have, however, heard of the suggestions above. Maybe this will help you: "Net": The gain or loss on a security sale as measured by the selling price of a security less the adjusted cost of acquisition. "Nominal interest rate": The interest rate unadjusted for inflation. "Gross interest": Interest earned before taxes are deducted.
