Ten thousand Escudos fine Explanation: It is a penalty. Fee is mostly used for just payment for some work "done" (deserved). Here it is a penalty, a punishment - in England we say "fine" (multa), or "the fine for this offence is ten thousand escudos" - or "he was fined in ten thousand escudos", etc. I was never fined - got away |
