"Consórcio Popular" Explanation: Only the remainder of the document can confirm my hypothesis, but this seems to be comment by one "consórcio" (Consortium) concerning another. And "Consórcio Popular" (probably thus spelt) must be a consortium of companies. May you be the first lucky person to win the draw. |

buyers' club Explanation: From my own glossary, based on experience: "An association formed to collect savings to facilitate purchase of cars, etc. by self-financing. Especially "car buyers' clubs." I did not read the earlier question and so know almost nothing about the context, but it is common in Brazil for people to join "consortios" usually for cars but perhaps for other big-ticket durables as well. Might this fit? It's a very hard term to translate. |

syndicate Explanation: Se o assunto é LOTERIA, então a única palavra usada é "syndicate". SYNDICATE em loteria, apostas, etc. é quando um grupo de pessoas ajunta o dinheiro e jogam no mesmo número (um bilhete só para todos, ou vários bilhetes para todos). Se o bilhete sair premiado o "syndicate" é que ganha. Geralmente um "syndicate" de loteria são pessoas que trabalham juntas, enfermeiras, operários, e que compram toda semana um bilhete, não tendo muito dinheiro para comprar cada um o seu bilhete - dividem o prêmio no caso. Muito comum na Inglaterra. |
