Portuguese term or phrase: liberação de sinal
Hello,

I've been translating a series of answers in Spanish to a customer satisfaction survey by an airline industry organization.

One of the respondents has replied in Portuguese, and I'm wondering if someone would be kind enough to help me with translating it:

gostariamos que a XXXX (name of organization) tivesse um maior poder nas negociaçoes quanto solicitação de **liberação de sinal** ex. ABC airlines.

What I understand is: We'd like XXXX to have greater negotiating power in terms of requesting ...., e.g, ABC airlines.

This is Portuguese from Portugal, and the translation is to British Ënglish.

TIA

English translation:waiving of the down payment
Explanation:
Some airlines ask for a deposit or down payment when booking a flight. It seems the respondent is suggesting that this demand be negotiable.

payment of the deposit

Explanation:
'liberação' in financial terms tends to mean 'payment'. I think we'd say 'deposit' on a flight rather than a 'down payment', which would normally be used for material goods such as a car.
