Portuguese to English translations [PRO] Law/Patents - Certificates, Diplomas, Licenses, CVs / Divorce certificate | | Portuguese term or phrase: "correram termos" | "uns Autos de Acção de Divórcio por Mútuo Consentimento, que correram termos no 1º Juízo"
Again, in a divorce certificate. Since it has already been stated in the document that the proceedings have been concluded and filed, I suppose it only means they have taken place at the 1st Judicature.
Can anyone suggest something more specific than "said proceedings having taken place at the 1st Judicature"?
Thank you for your time. |
| | | English translation:(which) were pending | Explanation: BTW I would not translate juizo as judicature. A juizo is a court arising from the division of a court of first instance into several courts: "Orgão judicial resultante do desdobramento de um tribunal de 1.ª instância." Ana Prata; Dicionário Jurídico. Although judicature can mean court, that meaning is obscure and archaic. |
