Ela não faz teatro: é habitada por ele. 19:54 Jul 15, 2011
I don't want to be a nuisance here, but I just want to point this out.
ELA is the subject of both FAZ and HABITADA, correct me if I'm wrong. So, Michael's rendition (nothing personal Mike) is inverted. It's the theater that inhabits her (Fernanda) but off course that doesn't sound too good, so you could say: The theater lives in her, to follow the wording of Michael's translation or use something entirely different to convey the idea (which is what I did with "runs in her veins")......anyway these types of questions are all very subjective and in the end it's the Asker's call on what he/she feels fits better in their context. Honestly I don't like doing this type of literary, artsy kind of texts which are very difficult to translate and one slip, you could change the entire meaning. That's why proofreading by a colleague is always a MUST in these. Um bom FDS aos colegas! |
