Portuguese to English translations [PRO]
Tech/Engineering - Construction / Civil Engineering / tunnel construction
Portuguese term or phrase: cambotas treliçadas
These are components used in the construction of tunnels. Cambotas seem to be tunnel arches (though please correct me on that if I'm wrong or there's a more specific term), but I can't find much info on what "treliçadas" might be.

Thanks in advance,
Solomon

lattice girder

Explanation:
"In tunneling, lattice girders have basically the same function as steel arch supports."

"A TBM pilot tunnel was cut in the rock. It was used for drainage, geological reconnaissance and ventilation of the construction site. A TSM was used for widening of the roof section and face excavation; the rock was shored up with lattice arches, and steel-fibre-reinforced shotcrete was applied immediately behind the heading face."

-> Liner plate is an alternate form of tunnel bracing, but I don't think it would be described as "treliçada", a term widely used in Portuguese to refer to lattice girders, beams, and similar
