Yes, absolutely certain. It is the most generic term available - more so than 'tapping point' or 'take-off' suggested by other answerers - both of which imply the transfer of liquid/gas from one place to another (as in 'tomada para dreno') and that is not the case of, for example, a connection for a temperature sensor whose sole purpose is to allow a temperature probe to penetrate into a tank or pipe.
Whether you want to use 'connector' or 'connection' is more a matter of style than terminology. |
