Bus/Financial - Finance (general)
Portuguese term or phrase: LCRT
Hello
This is a code that appears in a column to the right of the account balance in a bank deposit book from Portugal. This transaction refers to a transfer of funds out of the account. What is strange is that there is a code like this beside each transaction, but some codes are numerical and others consist only of letters. However, I have managed to figure out that one of the numerical codes that appears corresponds to the branch code (i.e. the branch where the account was opened). This probably means that the codes that consist of words refer in some way to how or where the transaction was completed.
Other examples of codes that appear in this column are "EXCI", "SIBS" (probably "Sociedade Interbancária de Serviços") and "AST". Again, no idea what "EXCI" means, but I will ask a separate Kudoz question. I am just providing it here as further context that might help.
Many thanks in advance :)
