Portuguese to English translations [PRO]
Bus/Financial - Finance (general) | | Portuguese term or phrase: cheque sobre o país | This is a transaction that appears in a bank deposit book from Portugal. The bank is Caixa Geral de Depositos. Since it is a one-off transaction, there is no more context to be had, unfortunately. My question is whether there is an equivalent in the UK or US, and what this type of cheque actually is - is it a treasury cheque or is there some other name for it?
