Portuguese term or phrase: unica e exclusivamente
Caros colegas,
Estou pesquisando uma dúvida e não encontro uma fonte fidedigna para comprovar minha opinião.
Trata-se da expressão "unica e exclusivamente" muito usada em textos jurídicos.
O termo "única" obviamente leva acento. Mas como na expressão "unica e xclusivamente" o "mente" é suprimido para evitar a repetição (na verdade deveria ser "unicamente e exclusivamente", razão pela qual o "unica" da expressão não leva acento), o termo "unica" acaba não sendo acentuado.
Revisores, clientes, colegas, etc. muitas vezes tendem a corrigir e colocam o acento no "única" na expressão.
Alguém poderia informar uma fonte onde eu poderia comprovar que o "unica" neste caso não leva acento?

purely and simply


Explanation:
Obviously the English words are not a translation of the Portuguese.
In a straight translation I would put "just" perhaps with "and no other" to reinforce as the redundancy is not necessary, but if you want a redundancy then "purely and simply" is quite close to the idea.
