a similar question has been asked ("objeto segurado"), but the results were very inconclusive, perhaps due to insufficient context, so here comes:

1. Objeto do Seguro: Este seguro estende-se a cobrir... (ou seja, algo como "scope")
2. Objeto do Seguro: O presente seguro tem por objetivo garantir... (entao mais "intent")

It could be that two different terms are needed here... ;-&
