Bus/Financial - Insurance | | Portuguese term or phrase: aderente (in the context of insurance cover) | The term "aderente" appears in the list of definitions for terms used in an insurance contract, as follows:
"Segurado - a pessoa jurídica que subs¬creve este contrato com a seguradora, e que é responsável pelo pagamento do prémio.
* Aderente - a pessoa jurídica, como tal definida nas Condições Especiais.
* Pessoa segura - a pessoa a favor de quem devem ser prestadas as garantias subscritas, de acordo com as Condições Especiais e Particulares."
This is how it appears in the actual text of the contract:
"Sem prejuízo das exclusões previstas nas Condições Especiais, não estão cobertos por este contrato :
a) as consequências de sinistros ocorridos anteriormente ao início do contrato;
b) os sinistros ou as consequências causadas por dolo ou em consequência de suicídio consumado ou frustrado do segurado, do aderente ou das pessoas seguras"
I thought "subscriber" would be the most appropriate translation, but I'm not 100% sure. |
