It means something similar to probabionary period, period for disputes, etc. I cannot recall the term at this moment. It is something that sounds natural - not "contestable"

| Grading comment Thank you, Richard and Paul. Both answers are plausible - personally I like the "ring" of "disputed period" more than "contestable", although this preference is admittedly subjective.
