Bus/Financial - Insurance | | Portuguese term or phrase: capital seguro | I am translating a document from Angolan Portuguese to US English. It involves general conditions for insurance coverage. The expression "capital seguro" appears in the following context:
A determinação do capital seguro, ou seja do valor dos bens que constituem o objecto do seguro do presente contrato, tanto a data da celebração deste, como a cada momento da sua vigência é sempre da responsabilidade do segurado e para os casos de seguro de imóveis, mobiliário recheio, mercadorias e de equipamento industrial, deverá corresponder à :
a) Custo de reconstrução;
b) Substituição pelo valor em novo;
c) Preço corrente de aquisição de fabrico;
d)Valor dos materiais transformados e/ou incorporados, acrescido dos custos de fabrico;
e)Custo em novo dos equipamentos

In Morias Pinho, Dicionário de termos de negócios, "capital segurado" is "insured amount" but the definition seems to be the same here
