My husband holds a corporate health insurance here in the USA and they call him the Principal Policy Holder and I appear as his dependent.

Asker: Hi Marlene, remember the other two questions I posted recently? I think it's not "policyholder" because it's corporate insurance...it's "insured" or "insured party" -- but "principal" sounds exactly right to me.
