agree  skport: In my opinion this is the most common way to express it in UK English for this context. Also means you can simply write 'without entrance fee/with no entrance fee' rather than something more ambiguous (I think) like 'which are free of charge'

agree  Fiona Gonçalves: Am inclined to agree with this because it allows both for events where you have to physically enter (a room/hall etc) as well as other (eg open-air) events where you take part without actually entering.
