I am not sure whether "advancement" alone would convey the meaning of "antecipação de legítima". What do you think about "inheritance advancement"?

Thank you so much, Jorge. The problem is, legitime does not appear to be a US legal term. It applies to civil law. How about "advancement" just by itself?

At least in Brazil, "antecipação de legítima" is not a "family trust" or "entailment". It happens when somebody donates part or all of their assets to their legitimate heir(s) while they (the donors) are still alive, without any conditions or restrictions on the donated assets.

That seems close. In ancient Rome there was the fideicommissum which let someone inherit your property who would not normally be entitled to it. I'm thinking, perhaps "family trust" or "entailment" What about that?
