I am translating a document granting power of attorney from Brazil. The two participating parties are indicated as being bearers of "CIRG number..." What does CIRG stand for? Is this a division of the RG (Registro Geral)?

Thank you for your help. I think the CIC (Cartão de Identificação do Contribuinte) may be a clue with this. So it could be CIRG(Cartão de Identificação do Registro Geral. Thank you for your prompt response. It was nice hearing from you again.
