Directive interventions and continuative interventions, based on my own reasearch. But I can't come up with anything for the middle one.
The reason why you can't find anything in English is because this is an academic paper that quotes french linguists, among other. These studies most likely have never been translated and, even though you have a PH.D., you probably never heard of them or their authors. Anyway, it refers to a type of discourse intervention developed by radio talk show hosts to "reissue" a topic. Imagine you have a caller and he starts talking about something else. As a host, you want to stick to the topic of your show so you apply this strategy called "intervenção de relance" to force callers to stick to the point. |
