I still maintain that 'soiled' is unnecessary - look it up - thousands of references to poultry litter (not soiled poultry litter) being used for fertilizer etc. The whole point is that it IS full of chicken droppings, i.e. that's a given; can't see much in the way of reference for clean poultry litter being used. Also, original text already talks about 'residuos', so it seems pretty clear that in this case cama de frango = poultry litter.
