óbitos-ano

English translation: deaths/year or deaths per year

Medical - Medical (general) / mortality data
Portuguese term or phrase: óbitos-ano
This is clearly a statstical term, and I'm not familiar with it. I'm assuming that it means more than "deaths per year," or they would have said "óbitos por ano." Any statisticians out there?

Notes to answerer
Asker: So is the hyphen is the same thing as a slash? I've never seen it used that way.
