Acredito que seja o "halo" que colocam para consolidar fraturas mais graves...quando necessita-se colocar pinos. Um tipo de coroa ao redor da fratura.

I restricted my translation to the term given. Extending it to include more of the context, it becomes "revealed the absence of a halo sign of bone consolidation", which would apparently cover some of the concerns expressed in other answers.
