Sugiro o seguinte, Sr. Jaime: Explanation: "The development of that Security and Defense mentality, presently limited in Europe, should be effected within the objectives of a process involving political decisions, and public opinion. It should present a frame of requirements where there is a clear and effective demonstration of [political] will." Cumprimentos. Luis Luis |

framework of requirements... Explanation: "This culture of security and defense, which at present is limited in Europe, must be expanded within the context of a process that involves decision-makers, politicians, and public opinion, and that introduces a framework of requirements within which a clear and effective intention [or "will"] is manifested." NOTE: The word "presently" is very often misused in English, even by people (such as television news readers) who should know better. It doesn't mean "at present," but rather "a very short while from now," as in "I will be there presently" or "they will give us their answer presently." The single-word synonym for "at present" is "currently." (No one ever said English was logical!) |
