day’s holiday in between); el martes es fiesta, así que

agree  Hermann: Never heard it called sandwich day - only know it as bridge day. But I take your word for it.

  -> I tried to use a graphic word to explain it. Because long week end, as Oxford translates it, is "fin de semana largo" and INCLUDES the holidays also.
