if it's refering to a person would be: dumpy person but doesn't make much sense in this sentence... anyway.

I now remember a piece of text nearer the beginning of the story and in this context the tampinhas in question are definetly bottle caps!! The characters had a party and they used the bottle caps of whisky bottles to take shots!
