Portuguese term or phrase: ser centralizador

"ser centralizador"

I am having a hard time coming up with a good English equivalent for this word when used in the context of a boss or leader. Maybe just self-centered or self-involved, but I feel like that doesn't full capture the full meaning of this word. Would love some suggestions!
