Portuguese term or phrase: sopro
How would you translate the word “sopro”, in the spiritual sense?

I would translate it as “spirit”, but in the text I’m translating there are a few sentences where a distinction is required between the words “sopro” and “espírito”. For example:

“…o sopro sagrado, o espírito santo…”
“...o Universo é cheio de sopros e de espíritos benéficos ou maléficos. »
“…com o sopro divino, com o sopro sagrado…”

Any suggestions would be much appreciated!
