ribosomes Explanation: ribosomes Ribosomes are cytoplasmic organelles found in prokaryotes and eukaryotes. They are large complexes of proteins and three (prokaryotes) or four (eukaryotes) rRNA (ribosomal ribonucleic acid) molecules called subunits made in the nucleolus.
