Sossega, rapá. Quero só te dar uma letra.

Te dar uma letra, é claro, é só "falar com você", e tá fácil: Talk to you. Mas queria saber se alguém conhece algum jeito mais informal, "malandro" de falar, já que a personagem do livro tem esse espírito.

Minha suggestão é manter a expressão quasi-literal (que é perfeitamente aceitável em inglês) e transferir o coloquialismo para o resto da oração. Mais ou menos assim, "Take it easy, man. I just wanna have a word with you." "Have a word" implica que a conversa vai ser em particular.
