Portuguese to English translations [PRO]
Medical - Sports / Fitness / Recreation / neuroscience | | Portuguese term or phrase: mal da idade | "Dificuldade dos adolescentes em se concentrar é 'mal da idade', segundo pesquisa da College London."
I thought about "it's an age-characteristic problem", or "it's related to age", but I'm not sure. Any suggestions?

In fact it's somewhat more incisive than "related to age", since it indicates to be due to age. However "mal da idade" is a classic idiom in Portuguese. for which there is no correspondent in English. The reason is that the use of "mal" is a somewhat exaggerated.
