The main phrase was interrupted just when it might give us an insight. But what is likely to supply a translation context is the exact text (not a description thereof, and in English, to boot) that precedes that interrupted phrase, so one may understand what does that "referência" refers to. In other words, please give us enough (exact original) substance so we can understand the intended meaning of the original (step 0 of any serious translation)
