Explanation:
"Captação" (at least in physiological chemistry) is almost always translated as "uptake" (in fact that's what it's going on when there is any "captação d'agua").

However, if there is "captação" in order to prevent water vapor from leaving, a similar devise in restaurant for oil/grease vapors is called a "fat trap." Maybe you could use a similar concept (i.e., "water trap").
