fermentation tank Explanation: See the word used: "After the wort has settled in the Hot Wort Tank, it goes underneath the brewhouse, where it cools down before it reaches the yeast in the Fermentation Tanks. Here we ferment the beer for 10-12 days, settle the yeast out and move the beer into storage tanks" Hope it helps! Erica Note: If the wort hits the yeast at too high a temperature, it will kill the yeast and ruin the batch. This would result in many a broken heart. Reference: http://www.shiner.com/tr6qt.html |

tanks Explanation: Fermentation/Aging Vessel: The wort is pumped into this vessel and added to the previously pitched yeast and allowed to ferment (typically 3 to 7 days). The fermentation tank can be used as an aging tank or transfer the beer to a separate vessel for the aging period (typically 10 to 20 days). Fermentation: is the phase in the brewing process when sugars in the wort convert to alcohol, carbon dioxide and flavor compounds. After fermentation, the green (or young) beer is cooled to near freezing temperatures for cold storage. During storage or Aging the beer matures in flavor, begins to clarify, and develops natural carbonation. Whether fermenting or storage tanks, cylindrical-conical brewery tanks, yeast or pressure tanks as well as filter tanks, we are the competent partner for this specific clientele .
