Portuguese term or phrase:Os serviços objeto deste contrato serão prestados nos
Segue o parágrafo para avaliação. Grata pela ajuda.
Os serviços objeto deste contrato serão prestados nos seguintes países: BRASIL ARGENTINA, VENEZUELA, COLOMBIA, EQUADOR e PERU.
Poderia ser "The object services of this contract will be provided to the following countries: BRAZIL, ARGENTINA, VENEZUELA, COLOMBIA, ECUADOR and PERU" ?
of fulfillment measures, especially transportation, labor and material costs."
To use this phraseology (as is so aptly reflected in the German derivation above) reflects poorly on the translator and is viewed negatively by the customer
Take this example from one of the links provide above:
"8.9 We are entitled to demand a reimbursement for expenses from the supplier for expenses incurred because our customer may claim against us the reimbursement of expenses incurred for the purpose
the contract is correct English legal terminology. Using mishmash phraseology based on non-English grammatical forms results in translations that, although they are technically accurate, are derived in form from non-English usage.
A poor use of English is a poor use of English, no matter how you slice it. Awkward phrasing does not substitute for the use of proper English legal terminology. The proper phrase to use (i.e. under the scope of or terms and conditions of)
Hi, Jane. I do agree with you in the matter of avoiding awkardness of phrasing, but I could still use the "word" in a different way, respecting its legal concept. Ex.: The User agrees to use the services, object of this contract, for his/her personal...

Howsumever..if you were at the first paragraph in the contract where it is necessary, then you would use Purpose..object being a very secondary use..in the main, purpose is used

Yes, Claudia, the "word" exists but stylistically it would not be used here due to awkwardness of phrasing and lack of necessity..it is not necessary..it is more elegant here to say services hereunder or herein..
Hello Deborah - certainly textbooks and Court decisions, as that of the Wisconsin Court provided in the link that follows, will certify that "object of contract" is a legal terminology. http://caselaw.lp.findlaw.com/scripts/getcase.
Claudia, hi - you will find numerous examples, as I've said it is so incorrectly used, it is almost ingrained. I can source examples of poor PT written on PT websites. The proper legalese is "purpose" - but then again I'm only a native English lawyer :-)
Deborah, I understand what you are trying to say, but this is not the understanding of good legal English. Please see the example in a UK government website. http://www.dfid.gov.uk/procurement/ojec6402.asp
Claudia, with all due respect it is poor use of English legalese - if you note the reference you have used is German - the mistake crops up in German and Dutch translation too - the mistake is so common, it is almost ingrained but still wrong.
Ol Lyne. S gostaria de esclarecer que o uso do termo objeto, ao contrrio do que alguns colegas afirmam, um termo usado tanto na LP quanto na lngua inglesa, constituindo termo formal, j que um dos elementos do contrato.

Os serviços objeto deste contrato serão prestados nos
The services described under this contract will be provided
Explanation: objeto is the purpose..literally here: the services that are the purpose of this contract
But to make it idiomatic, just say: described herein
