neutral  Donna Sandin: I hope the reference isn't to the railroad switches. I hear that term more commonly than "intersections" but I am not an expert in this field.

neutral  xxxCMJ_Trans: I worked in the rail industry for decades and we NEVER used the term "intersections" - junctions, yes; interchange points, yes; hubs, yes, etc. -I also don't think this is what they are talking about here
