Portuguese term or phrase: Touriga

Does anyone know about the origin or meaning of the word Touriga. Touriga nacional is one of the main wine grapes of portugal.

Explanation:
Não traduza o "Nacional". O nome da casta é mesmo "Touriga Nacional". Se quiser traduzir, traduza por "Portuguese Touriga". É que existe também a "Touriga Francesa" (ou "Touriga Franca"), que apesar de ter este nome é também uma casta portuguesa, ou seja, há dois tipos de casta Touriga.

Quanto ao nome, veja aqui. Creio que não há uma certeza absoluta, mas terá a ver com a origem da casta na freguesia de Tourigo.
